The approach
Must haves
Cater to both our job seeker and employer audiences.
Showcase key product screens without getting too granular.
Adhere to Indeed’s new tone and illustration guidelines.
Seek approval from leadership from stakeholder teams in a limited timeframe.
Challenges
Due to the number of stakeholders we needed to get feedback from, we were working under extremely tight deadlines that were constantly shifting.
Since the product was still fairly new at the time, a lot of the language being used was still changing (including the name).
We needed to communicate a large amount of product information in a short amount time.
Learnings
A scaled-back, benefit-oriented approach to product videos is more appealing to viewers.
Being involved in the early stages of product comms development is extremely valuable.
Simple, on-screen text is essential to highlighting key features for all viewers.
